Have you lost a beloved PC?

I recently had to put my desktop to sleep. Sleep as in stuck safely in the back corner of my cold, dark closet. The mouse, the tower, the beautiful LCD moniter and the keyboard. All of them safely tucked away until a latter day. But meanwhile I severely mourn their absence from my large “L” shaped desk. The “L” shaped desk that now seems so desolate and barren without its prime and solitary reason for existence residing on its pine-like emulation.

Putting my desktop computer to sleep was not as hard as admitting that it needed to be done. After spending hours on many endless days trying various procedures that all were proven unsuccessful, I could not deny the truth any longer. It was inevitably time to say goodbye; to give my computer a respite from the harshness of the non-technological world. For weeks it had merely become as a decorative symbol on my desk, and although it filled its purpose as such exceedingly well I knew that is was deep down in its hardware able to achieve more than that.

But yet its hardware had died of a broken……well to be honest that’s why it’s in the closet. I have no idea what happened to it except to say that I left it logged on the administration account and it got bitten by not just nosy fingers but by a malicious virus that discombobulated its entire system rendering it to absolutely nothing more than a lifeless and blank, black screen. I guess it's true when they say that when magabytes, megahertz!

And now days later I think others should not have to suffer as I did. Others should not have to put their young innocent computers down until the day arrives that they can find time to stop in at BestBuy. No, there must be a better solution. And that’s when I designed a simple counteraction that now will revolutionize the modern age. In one short day I founded Fool Proof Your Foolishness from Hackers! Inc.

It is as easy as 1, 2, 3 and I am proud to say, is absolutely priceless. It will save you time and energy from worrying about your desktop or laptop when you are unable to watch over these precious commodities. And it will free up hours of running virus scans through your system.

This is the first time I have released this brain child of mine to the public much less something other than my now safely protected laptop, but I feel as if I cannot wait a day longer as I know many of you are entrusting your PC’s to sites that are full of contamination and all those hackers!

If you can type, you can do it! Are you ready to take back control from hackers and viruses on your PC’s? Then type the following on Word or paste it on a Picture as your new desktop background and you will be one step closer to ensuring a non-expiring anti-spyware and anti-virus software into yours and your PC’s life!

Forget your meds again, Ann? Oh yes, this is a sure fire method -- I can see that. Much better than the snivelling, begging note I use: "pretty please, be nice ...."

alexandriaruthk 2 years ago

Hi Ann, good one and your writing style is always funny and smart! thank you Ann!

Well, Ann, now you mourn. Here's to a brighter future! :)

Hello, hello, 2 years ago

Thank you for such a fantastic help. Great hub.

Springboard 2 years ago

Interesting information to be sure. And with so many geeks out there who can literally find a way to get to the yolk inside an uncracked egg, any protection is essential. Thanks for the helpful reminder and source.

Great Hub Ann...right from the hip as always ...love the signs...

Ha ha! Lynda! You are actually right on! I honestly have this typed up on my screen, however I have never really had a chance to see if it actually works because I am the only one who sees it!

Thanks for coming over!

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hey springboard...Anytime! I had some bad experiences with the geek squad but in the end they came through for me. However I feel it utmost essential to do my part, be it through my own desktop background or whatever else helps! Thanks for your input!

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Thanks Quill! I had a great time looking up the signs. There were so many to choose from but I had to limit myself....

save my system 2 years ago

Nice hub, it is very informative and explain in very interesting manner. Switching to best anti virus and taking few precautions for the thefts always ensures protection from the virus

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hello and welcome, save my system! I am often clueless when it comes to technology particularly computers but one thing I have learned is that it is utmost essential to have spyware!

Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to come again!

music love 2 years ago

If you need investors for your company, I'll take a few hundred shares. The best part of your non-expiring anti-virus software is that you don't have to be constantly reminded to renew your subscription with pop-up windows, there's just a pleasant message on the desktop reminding you that you're safe.

H.C Porter 2 years ago

Wonderful Hub :) Perhaps if I would have taken such a brilliant approach- I would still have my PC and previous laptop, but t hey both went to blue screen heaven-and I have to find comfort with the belief that they are in a better place now. Thanks Ann-rated up!

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Good afternoon music love! Allow me to be the first to welcome you into my business with open arms. I need all the investors I can get so we can further spread the word. Now as for your share in this investment...well considering it is somewhat a non-profit organization than your payment will be the satisfaction of saving people from all those nasty pop-ups from their current anti-virus subscriptions that you mentioned. Man, I hate those!

Thanks for stopping by and for understanding it! And again thanks for your investment! I'll probably need it before April 15....hahaha!

Have a great day!

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hello H.C. I guess my PC is better off too considering it is saved from sticky fingers and smudged screens. Oh the agony it suffered from my cruel hands and feet on the occasion I was sorely tempted to kick it! Thanks for telling me that PC's go to a better place. I feel much better knowing it's entire database in all actuality NOT stuck in the closet with it's metal and plastic body! lol

Also a big thanks for rating it up! I really appreciate that and your funny input! have a great day and let us resign ourselves to no more mourning over lost PC's!

MyWebs 2 years ago

I was about to offer advice about how to easily fix your infected PC before I realized thus was meant to be humor. I can't contain my geekness for long.

Funny solution and I hope it works good for you. Tweeted. I think I'll continue to trust my firewall, antivirus and other top secret tools I use to stay safe though. :)

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hello MyWebs! Do not feel bad about your so called geekiness. As I wish I had an extreme dose of technical knowledge on a regular basis! I am soooo helpless when my computer refuses to operate my way! And yes I admit that I also use firewall and all other inventions made before mine! LOL

Thanks for your input and as always for coming over!

lelanew55 2 years ago

Thank you for this funny hub Ann. Keep funny once coming.

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Awww, thanks lelane! I shall try to be funny in the coming hubs! God knows we-the human species-is too serious!

Glad you liked it!

Feline Prophet 2 years ago

Haha, what an absolutely brilliant solution! Why don't such things occur to us lesser mortals? :D

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hey Feline! Why didn't you come up with this? I'll tell you why. While everyone else here on HP writes stuff that makes sense, literally and figuratively speaking, and write on the most intelligent of matters I turn to mild humor in desperation! LOL I am scraping the bottom of the barral and I am happy if all of you like it when in fact it is nothing but rambling!

Thanks for your kindness! It made my day!

shazwellyn 2 years ago

Very witty! You had me going there for a while! hehehe x

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hey Shaz! Thanks! And yes sometimes I myself wonder if I am communicating my humor right...but you got as others so I guess all is well! hahaha!

habee 2 years ago

Too funny! Wish I'd known it was this simple when I had three crashes from viruses in the span of two weeks! lol

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Oh habee, my deepest condolences on your loss and so close together!! I too was late in my invention therefore the death of my PC. But now I feel much safer and can leave the home and laptop with much less worries thanks to the foolproof system! Haha!

Thanks for coming over and always appreciate your kind input!

Faybe Bay 2 years ago

This is brilliant! my son has effectively killed no less than six computers in his surfing life, two with the same program that I told him NOT to use! I was going to say, it might just be your video card, as he fried two of those! LOL... Happy Easter!

tonymac04 2 years ago

I had what we in South Africa would call a "lekker laugh" at this one. Thanks for the chuckles!

Love and peace

Tony

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Happy Easter, Tony! That type of laugh sounds absolutely appealing and something I think I take part in daily! I am so glad you liked it and saw the humour in it! Thanks for coming over and I'll "see" you again soon around HP!

Cagsil 2 years ago

Hey Ann Nonymous, this is a great hub. Very nicely written. I have done similar things with old computers and then miss them too, but usually when I have a computer to store in a closet, I have at least one to use. LOL

Again, great hub. Rated up! :) Thank you for sharing your insight to one of the many problems plaguing people. :)

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hi Cags! Yes thankfully when my desktop passed away I had my laptop which was in very good health! But now I think what if!!!!! LOL!

Thank you for your extreme kindness and I will have to check out your hubs about these issues as mine well really didn't offer too much help! So glad you stopped by and feel free to come anytime!

Sage Williams 2 years ago

Once again, your imagination runs wild. You did a great job on this hub. I just love where you go with your thoughts.

Great job

Sage

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Thank you very much, Sage. I have to admit I worry sometimes as my thoughts can be quite scatterd so your gracious remark is quite reassuring!

I am glad you enjoyed it, Sage! Always a pleasure to hear/read from you!!!!!! Have a great day!

AEvans 2 years ago

I love it and enjoyed every word, I am taking my life back right here, right now with your signs! I hope your beloved computer can come out of the closet and be resurrected. :)

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Haha! You are a hoot, AEvans! And I too hope that my Pc will resurrect from the dead. i haven't gotten it an autopsy yet so chances are it just needs to be shocked!

I am so glad you liked this hub and that you are taking your life back! Thanks for stopping by!

wavegirl22 2 years ago

you are too funny ., .and oh how I needed a good laugh! Thanks for that. . and sorry bout the back of your closet. . computer heaven may it RIP! :)

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hello wavegirl, and thanks for the affirmation! You are too kind and yet I bask under it! And yes I have arranged my lifeless PC in the back of the closet in such a way I don't have a daily reminder of the good ol days! I have surrounded it with other sentimental junk! LOL

Isabelle22 2 years ago

Wow great advice and so many comments, took me ages to get to the bottom. :)

TINA V 2 years ago

This is an informative hub on how to protect our computers from hackers and viruses. But I do not recommend that readers need to input or write their SS# through any website because of the rampant identity theft.

It's nice of you to share your experience to your readers. Indeed, we do learn from each other. Keep on writing great hubs!

Research Analyst 2 years ago

This is really good and will help alot of people.

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hello Isabella! When I typed this hub up I had no idea it would get this much attention. i was just fooling around with an idea...But I won't complain: ) Thanks for being one of those those who enjoyed it!

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hi Tine! Oops, I must not have conveyed the humor enough! The SS was to be a joke. You know how when you log onto Amazon for example it says Not Ann Nonymous? Click here! So I just exploited the idea a bit! So in no way am I condoning people revealing their SS, but this is how so many scams are. Can I have your Credit Card number and so on and so forth. Anyways I hope I made some sense!

Thanks for stopping by and your great input!

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hey research Analyst! I am glad you think so and I hope it's true...if nothing more than a laugh is the end result of reading this then I am happy! Thanks for stopping by!

Richieb799 2 years ago

I really should of tried this a while back Ann! the trojan's still on my computer but I managed to slow it down lol

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hey Richie! After I wrote and published this hub I started having some problems in that area too! But thankfully I got them taken care of!

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment! Great seeing you here!

mulberry1 2 years ago

Oh my, I know this pain so well! Your sense of humor about it definitely exceeds mine at the time.

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Thank you mulberry, but I too didn't laugh during the episode. It was when I was trying to desperately revive my PC with shock treatment, with everything but mouth to er, uh I guess hard drive that i realized the humor in all of it. My PC was no more! After letting it lie to "rot" for several weeks why did I think I could bring it back to life? That's when I wrote this! Looking back I can smile! LOL

Thanks for taking the time to read this silly hub and for commenting!

mtsi1098 2 years ago

As a technology guy (not hacker) I appreciate this hub and your approach with signs...Now, only if the signs will work against some very bad co-workers :) thanks

Ann Nonymous 2 years ago

Hey MTSI! Thanks for your kindness. Listen, you may not be a hacker, but right now that's not a bad thing to be. The government is currently looking for some of the best computer hackers out there so they can use their cleverness and brilliance to counteract hackers!

Hope that will also work in regards to your co-workers!

Thanks for stopping by!

My geeky side was fooled. And when I read your hub, I started laughing. Great humor idea of a hub. I'm starting to have a liking for your writing style. Will bookmark your profile. By the way, your disclaimer is really something. I always like to read others disclaimers and this one sizzles.=)
